She leads a small team dedicated to supporting the arts, cultural and creative sector across development programmes, events and public art commissions across Ōtautahi and Te Pā o Rākaihautū.
Art Fetiche has collaborated with Council since 2022 on Tīrama Mai, the city’s Puaka Matariki celebration, creating bespoke artworks and installations.
They have contributed to public artworks in the city, including integrated works at Matatiki Hornby Centre and Matuku Takotako: Sumner Centre, as well as standalone pieces in Longhurst and Woolston.
Paula is a skilled senior weaver, with years of experience creating beautiful taonga (treasurers) from natural fibres native to Aotearoa New Zealand.
