One of the final construction milestones at the new Stead St pump station is complete, with the installation and blessing of the mahi toi (cultural artwork) adorning the building’s façade.
The artwork/design is thanks to Hori Te-Ariki-Mataki and Ariki Creative who worked with Ngāi Tūāhuriri to incorporate local flora and fauna and Ōpāwaho (the Heathcote River).
From concept to creation - It all started with a vision: to create a space where flavour, community, and creativity come together. From brainstorming café layouts, custom-designed furniture, visuals and signage, we collaborated to create a hospitality space like no other.
We worked alongside Ariki Creative’s design team to create a layered 3d sign to boost the school identity alongside multiple pou representing the Sacred Heart way.
